Gandhiji has been a favorite subject to many artistes all over the world. After India getting Independence, there was only one media the Print media to talk about great people like Gandhiji. From TamilNadu , a great artist Mr. Adimoolam took Gandhiji as a subject and created beautiful sketches and line drawings. During the centenary celebration of Gandhji Jayanthy in the year 1969, the then Tamilnadu Government had organized drawings on Gandhiji’s life by great artist like Mr. Adimoolam and Antony Das. His works like “Namaste”, and “Between the Lines”, were a great contribution on drawings on Gandhiji. His drawings depict 60 years of Gandhiji’s life from the period starting from South Africa to his last days.
